Travertine stone extraction

The travertine extraction process is one of the most sensitive and important stages in the production of building stones. It all starts in the quarry, where natural travertine layers have been formed over millions of years. Our team first carefully examines the color, texture, and veins of the stone to select the best part of the quarry for harvesting so that the final product is uniform and of high quality.

After this stage, the stone blocks are cut using diamond wire cutters or specialized machines. This is done with great precision to prevent cracks or damage to the natural texture of the stone. The separated blocks are slowly lowered from the quarry wall and moved with appropriate equipment. In all these stages, compliance with safety principles and maintaining the quality of the stone is our top priority.

The extracted stones are checked and graded for color uniformity, surface integrity, and structural quality before being transferred to the factory. Only blocks that meet EXPO’s high standards are selected for processing. This meticulous selection and extraction ensures that our customers receive a lasting, beautiful, and flawless product.
